Mission, B.C. Canada - Sunday, December 27, 1998 at 03:46:39 (EST)I am interested in locating any descendants of my ancestors. William KEOWN/KOEN married Sarah HURST in Co. Fermanagh, Ireland. She had many brothers who emigrated as well as sister, Teresa who married Francis JOHNSTON/JOHNSON and Mary who married William LOVE. All were married in Co. Fermanagh. They all settled in the Kingston Twp. and Loughboro area starting in 1822 and thru 1850.
William KOEN born 1800 had sister, Mary who married Andrew GRAINGER and that family is found in the Kingston area and also in Belleville area. William also had brothers, Patrick who was married to Margaret McBride (they emigrated about 1850 to Kingston Twp area) and brother Michael, schoolmaster and unmarried, John died 1840's.
All of these families were Catholic and belonged to St. Patrick's in Railton, St. Mary's in Kingston, St. Michael's in Belleville, and a few are found at St. Anthony Padua in Centerville.
Any information on their descendants is greatly appreciated. Have been doing this family for more than 25 years and have found many of them but still missing lines. I should also add that several of their descendants have found their way to Michigan, Oneida. NY, Erie, Pa., and as far away as Texas.

Daytona Beach, Fl USA - Thursday, October 01, 1998 at 22:31:45 (EDT)Searching for obituary on my great aunt, Kathleen CROWLEY, killed by the Toronto Express train as she debarked too soon at the Kingston Station. She was 17 years old and killed outright. It appears the year of her death would have been 1913 or 1914. This was a major story in The Kingston Whig-Standard. She was coming to Canada, on her own, to assist another great aunt, Margaret Hughes as my grandmother, Mary Agnes Crowley LEACH was getting married (December 3, 1913). We know the 3 women in this family....we do not know the names of any of the seven men. As my grandmother, an Irish Catholic, married an Enlish Protestant, she was excommunicated by her Church and considered dead by her family. I am hoping an obituary will say "survived by....." and list these missing names. Any help someone can give me would be truly appreciated. Many, many thanks.
