I am looking for information with respect to my gr. gr.
grandparents. They lived in Wolford Twp. just north of Island
Road. His name was Richard Gardiner who was born before 1821
(according to LDS) and her name was Margaret Phillips who
was born about 1823. They were married approximately 1855.
He is buried in Union Cemetary in Merrickville. I do not know
the dates of death of either of them. Any information would be
be greatly appreciated

Pervious information concerning a son, Jesse KETCHUM shows him as being born in Lisbon, Ontario--approx. 350 miles west of Leeds. I recently uncovered a birth certificate of his youngest daughter stating that he was born in Winnipeg, Canada. At the time of the census, she was 79 years old. According to the census, she was born in Ireland. I am particularly interested in determining when she arrived in Ontario (I believe it may have been between 1821 and 1828) where she came from in Ireland, and whether or not she died in Leeds & Grenville. The same census also list two men in Leeds & Grenville North with the REAL surname, one living at the same coordinates as Anne (first name Patric, age 43, occupation lock labourer) and the other in the subdistrict Merrickville (D) (first name Daniel, age 32, occupation tailor and clothier). The same census list only one other person with the REAL surname in Ontario who is of Irish descent, and I am wondering if he might also be related to Ann (his given name is John, age 50, born in Ireland, as of 1871 l
